Minnesota teachers ask Legislative Auditor for Special Review of billions in hidden pension fees. Under scrutiny, pension hastily admits 400% fee increase. Auditor says it's too busy to investigate.
I've been following your posts on investment fees charged to the plan(s). I am a retired pension lawyer and dealt with public plans in Michigan (but now live in Seattle). Other than sharing your sentiments about this situation, I offer no views on whether any collectible individual(s) or companies might have liability to the pension system(s). And perhaps you have already looked at this. However, if you are looking for an attorney on the plaintiff side of these issues (and not encumbered by Minnesota connections) I suggest you contact Eva Cantarella (https://www.pensionjustice4you.net/Our-Pension-Team/Eva-Cantarella.html) who practices from Michigan as plaintiff counsel in a number of jurisdictions. I have met Eva on a few occasions but was never in practice with her and have not spoken to her in about 15 years. She may not remember me, but have no hesitation in making this recommendation. She may take cases on contingency basis and she may remember me ... but you could certainly use my name in any contact.
