A facebook group which originated in February of 2023 with 30 members, has grown to almost 3500 participants (and growing)--"Advocates for COLA Restoration and Pension Reform." We are working diligently to retrieve what was ruthlessly stolen from us through 2011 legislation.
Don’t forget TRELF, Teacher Retirement Legal Fund in Kentucky that was created in 2013 and stepped up to fight for KY teachers when KEA and Jefferson County Teachers Association sided with private equity managers to fleece the underfunded pension and THEN promoted a second tier for new hires.
If anyone reads this, spread the word around. We want state retirees, organized labor, progressives, conservatives, and all alike to show up and demand our integrity back. We are heading to the State House to call for the action that we need.
