The State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio is poised to adopt transparency reforms that could expose rampant overvaluation of private investments, triggering a collapse at all state pensions.
In Ohio, we have been able to show STRS Ohio, the state legislature ( Ohio Retirement Study Council), State Auditor Keith Faber, Governor DeWine, Attorney General Yost, state securities regulator Andrea Seidt -- have all failed to do their jobs, in part due to incompetence, in part due to politics. It is critical that teachers have their own experts to review every pension-related decision--including disability. Politicans know nothing about pensions!
Thank you Mr. Siedle for helping us Ohio teachers to fight for our retirement which is getting fleeced by people who are to be fiduciary representatives and are not. As a trickle down issue, STRS in Ohio has also done away with disability benefits for sick teachers. Only 0.03 % of teacher under age 65 in Ohio have qualified for disability. Compare that to the state average of 5.5%.
